There’s a kind of mystery around this Mosquito... The year of first registration is 1974 and the chassis number is 19741 (probably «1974» for year and «1» for chassis number). We could believe it’s been built before CWL128R and the following Mosquitos, which were built mainly in 1976 / 1977.

Also, ABW5J (built in 1971) is chassis number 1115/1 and CWL128R (built in 1977) is 1115/2. Why this one, registered in 1974, would have had a different type of chassis number?

What I’m sure, is that this Mosquito has had many registration numbers in the past. It was first registered «RBW657M». Then, one of the five different owners had «W. F. Rowlands» for initials and registered it on a private plate «WFR263». Now, it’s registered «BWP606M».

Regarding the engine, it has a 1275 cc Cooper S engine with a Weber 40DCOE carburetor.
